  • 6th grade will be divided into one varsity and one JV group.  Both varsity and JV will be divided into divisions as regionally as possible.
  • If a parish/school has two teams in the same division (i.e. 6th grade Varsity), talent should be split equally across the teams, and they will be placed in different divisions, when possible.
  • In 6th-8th grade, the JV/Varsity split must be based on individual skill levels. Please call CYO Athletics with any questions, or for help in assessing individual skill levels.
  • 6th-8th grade JV teams will have the opportunity to play in a JV Jamboree, to be scheduled the first weekend of the regular season – with the games on November 19 or 20. Teams must notify the CYO Athletics office to participate in the Jamboree.  The JV regular season will then finish the first weekend of the 6-8th grade varsity tournament.

Basketball Lopsided Winner (For Coaches Only)

Submit this form if you are the winning coach of a team where the goal differential was equal to or more than twenty (20) points in 4-6th grade or twenty-five (25) points in 7-8th grade.

Basketball Referee Evaluation (For Coaches Only)

Keep in mind that referees are human, and you are not going to always get someone’s best performance every game. On the other hand, we do expect our referees to act in a professional manner, show effort, and be knowledgeable of the rules of the game and of CYO Athletics. By providing us honest feedback, we can identify trends that might help us determine strong and competent referees that we may request in the future.

If you are filling out this form because you were frustrated or disappointed with a referee, we ask that you please try to wait at least 24 hours after your game to fill out the form, to give yourself time to reflect upon the events of the game. Please be complete in your submissions.
